The Mecha Hack
Originally a one-shot that was just too much fun to leave as a stand-alone story, our Mecha Hack campaign follows the Fireteam known as Sabre Harmony, who are thrust into a galaxy riven by warring factions and slowly come to realise that there is a far greater threat out there than each other…
This excellent Mecha Hack is by Absolute Tabletop, and is a variant of The Black Hack, developed by David Black. Check out Absolute Tabletop on their website or on DriveThruRPG!
Unlike the other one-shots, we have a set cast for this series of ongoing adventures:
Sammi plays Fae, a cyborg soldier from the Aonic Primacy who was recovered by the plucky scrappers of the Terran Dominion and now fights against their former allies and creators. They pilot the super-speedy mech Barricade, and hate their reactor as much as they hate their enemies. You can find Sammi on Bluesky, as well as appearing on the current series of Heroes of the Hydian Way and her own show Friends with Consequences!
Riley plays Lukas, the second pilot (or perhaps handler is a better word) of Razor – a tamed Kaiju resembling a werewolf. Lukas is the youngest of the Fireteam and was chosen by Razor for reasons unknown. Luckily his ace hacking skills make up for his lack of combat experience, and Razor can handle the rest! Riley isn’t on social media but you can find him on our Discord!
Chris plays Ruhk, a grizzled veteran and defector from the Neo Dominion to the side of the Terran Collective. The oldest of the Fireteam, he brings decades of experience in the field as well as his mecha Iron Decimus – a cutting-edge prototype taken with him when he defected! Chris can also be found on The Otherplace season 2 and the current season of the Foxglove Letters!
AceyJ plays Nox, a fiery Terran Dominion scrapper and fighter who learned her trade the hard way. She pilots the immense Colossus-class mecha Arylide Void, a walking fortress built from her old construction mech! Acey can also be found mostly hanging out on our Discord rather than social media.
