About Us
Officially, Albert the Llama Enterprises has been around since Adam was in college, and only became the proper overarching production house it is now in 2025. However, the story of our show starts properly in 2007…
At that time, Adam, Ed, Ross, Mikey and Mim regularly met up to play board games, chat RPGs and generally hang out. Adam had gotten really into the Star Wars RPG thanks to a few games and discovering a number of excellent Star Wars AP podcasts out there – predominantly Dice for Brains, Redemption and Heroes of the Hydian Way. The talk turned to whether we could do that for ourselves and, fuelled by both enthusiasm and a gross misunderstanding about how much work it would be, we decided to give it the old College try for ourselves – and so was Force Majeure born!
Finding we had a taste for podcasting, but also wanting to return to our original love of fantasy, we decided to do Dungeon Majeure as a companion show – this was based heavily on a home game that Adam had been running for a few years, and indeed some of those original adventures may yet make it to air as the planned seasons 4 and 5 of Dungeon Majeure, assuming real life and scheduling are a bit kinder to us for those!
Our ethos here is to tell fun stories with friends – we figure that if we’re enjoying ourselves then odds are the listeners will too, and this has been bourn out over the years of our podcasting. We’re grateful to a wonderfully welcoming community, especially from other podcasters, and love talking with fellow nerds of all stripes!
As time progressed, all of the cast have found ourselves in very different places than we were when we first got together, and by bringing everything together under the aegis of Albert it also provides an identity for whatever else we doing going forward as well!
About Adam Beltaine
Since the start, Adam has been the showrunner and editor, as well as primary GM, for both shows and it was felt that time was long past to bring them all under one banner – that of Albert the Llama Enterprises! This covers both the core shows we produce, but also gives an identity to the freelance editing work Adam has done for other shows, including Tales of the Hydian Way, Heroes of the Hydian Way, Dicey Cantina and Endeavour.
Adam also finds it very hard to say no to guest appearances too, and you can find him appearing on Dice Company, Tales from the Grey Library, Flight Risk, Heroes and Tales of the Hydian Way, and Coruscant Nights; as well as providing ad hoc voice acting work to basically anyone that bats their eyelids at him!
